Memorandum of Understanding
The 'Memorandum of Understanding on the Prevention, Investigation, Enforcement and Prosecution of Heritage and Cultural Crime and Anti-Social Behaviour' (MoU) forms a key component in the partnership to tackle heritage crime in England and Wales.
The memorandum provides an agreement to work in partnership to prevent crime and anti-social behaviour; and, where offences have been committed, to undertake effective investigative and enforcement activity.
The MoU has been signed by the National Police Chiefs' Council (NPCC), the Crown Prosecution Service, Historic England, Cadw and a growing number of local authorities, community safety partnerships and National Park Authorities.
Appendix 1
