Visit Grant-Aided Places

We provide grants to help conserve historic places throughout England. These include listed buildings, scheduled monuments and designed landscapes. Many grant-aided places open to the public as a condition of their grant.

The extent of public access varies from one property to another. Some are open throughout the year, some on certain days only, and others provide public access only by prior arrangement. In some cases, access may be limited to certain parts of the building or site.

In 2024 there are monthly open days planned for January to September with an additional 3 x Sunday open days and sessions for National Lottery Players week in March. There will also be 6 one day events in April, June and July yet to be announced. No open access to the house currently. Access currently via pre-arranged open and event days (first Monday of the month 10am and 2pm). Open access to the grounds and park.

Blickling Estate is open 363 days a year. There is an admission charge to access Blickling Hall, which includes access to the garden. The hall is normally open 11am to 3pm in the autumn and winter season and 11am to 4pm in the spring and summer season. Last entry is 30 minutes before closing.
