Beaulieu Abbey, Beaulieu, Hampshire

The tripartite arched entrance to the chapter house viewed from inside the ruins of the building. The abbey was founded by King John in the early 13th century for Cistercian monks. Following its Dissolution in 1538, the former monastic Greater Gatehouse was incorporated into a new mansion, Palace House.
