Factories as well as houses reflected the 1930s stylish 'Hollywood-inspired' designs. This canteen block was built in 1938.

Built in 1936 this house is derived from the Sunspan design, first exhibited at the 1934 Ideal Home Exhibition. The design was intended for builders as an alternative to the usual traditional design of house.
