Corfe Castle, Dorset

Corfe Castle sits in the gap in the Purbeck Hills above the village of the same name. In the backgroud, the newly built railway line can be seen; the railway reached Corfe Castle in 1885. The line closed in January 1972. Steam trains now (2011) run from the village car park to the castle and on to Swanage.
