Durrington Walls, Stonehenge, Wiltshire
A Later Neolithic henge enclosure of roughly oval shape measuring circa 490 metres by 470 metres surrounded by a ditch with a bank outside. The bank and ditch enclose a small dry valley which leads down to the River Avon (which lies to the south east). Woodhenge can be seen nearby. Both monuments are part of the wider Stonehenge landscape. This site is now in the care of English Heritage (2010).
