Egge Cottage, Radway, Warwickshire
This cottage was built in 1744 and designed by the architect Sanderson Miller (famous for building fake castles). Egge Cottage was originally thatched, and was formerly known as the Thatched Cottage. Miller built it for himself, to appear as a romantic ruin. It was "Miller's first essay in the Picturesque" (Pevsner) and formed part of his work on his Radway Grange property.
