Former Workhouse, Kingston Road, Weobley, Herefordshire

This building was originally the Weobley Union Workhouse. The Poor Law Commissioners authorized an expenditure of £3,000 for it. It was built in 1837 to designs by George Wilkinson. He also designed workhouses at Leominster, Ledbury and Bromyard. In 1874 £900 was authorised to build new Sick Wards. After 1930, the workhouse became a Public Assistance Institution. The site later became known as Whitehill House and housed offices for the Weobley Rural District Council.
