Gloucester Docks, Gloucester, Gloucestershire
Two men unloading sacks from a barge belonging to the Severn and Canal Carrying Company and into the company warehouse. Gloucester Docks operated as a port although they were inland. Large ships as well as canal barges could get to the docks via the River Severn and Sharpness canal. This part of the Docks is now mainly used for leisure. There is a Waterways museum and a Shopping Outlet centre.
