Guildhall, Salisbury, Wiltshire

The Guildhall was designed by Sir Robert Taylor and built, with some alterations, by William Pilkington in 1788-95. It stands on the site of the former 'Bishop's Guildhall, which was demolished to build this new Guildhall. The old hall was probably built in the early 1300s, a drawing of it being demolished exists in Salisbury Museum and there is a plan of it in Devizes Museum.
