Heathcoat Lace Factory, Tiverton, Devon

A view from the south looking along the entrance drive towards the Heathcoat Lace Factory, with the two entrance lodges on either side of the drive. The Heathcoat Lace Factory was established in 1816 when John Heathcoat took over a factory on the site and moved his lace working business from Loughborough. The facory was later destroyed by fire and rebuilt, but the entrance lodges and factory school to the right of the image survive.
