Jack of Newbury's House, 24,Northbrook Street, Newbury, West Berkshire

The timber framed building dates from the early 16th century is in use as a furniture shop. Jack of Newbury is a legendary figure of early Tudor England, somthing like Dick Whittington. His story was written as a book in the 1590’s by Thomas Deloney.
