Monument to Sir Bevil Grenville, Charlcombe, Bath and North East Somerset

This monument to Sir Bevil Grenville was put up in 1720 to commemorate the Royalist leader who was killed here at the Battle of Lansdown on July 5th 1643. It has a slate tablet attached with a quotation from Lord Clarendon's account of the battle. This site is now in the care of English Heritage (2010).
