Moreton Old Hall (Little Moreton Hall), Odd Rode, Cheshire
This timber framed building was begun in the early 15th century. The present building is the result of at least six extensions to the original building. The present great hall was built in c1450. In c1480 a western side was built incorporating new service rooms, creating an H-shaped plan. In 1559 the bay windows were added to the hall. Between 1559 and 1570 a further range was added to the eastern side, including a chapel. This is an outstanding example of a timber framed building.
