Mount Vernon Hospital, Northwood, Greater London

Mount Vernon Hospital was designed in 1902-4 by F L Wheeler. It was built as a hospital for the treatment of tuberculosis patients. It was a branch hospital of the original Mount Vernon hospital in Hampstead which was built in 1879-80. It was built to a plan that was very advanced for its time. It had isolation wards and facilities including an X-ray room and a dental unit.
