Railway Station, Hornsea, East Riding of Yorkshire
This railway station was built in 1864. It was designed by Rawlins Gould for the Hull and Hornsea Railway Company. A local man, Joseph Wade, was keen to develop Hornsea as a seaside resort. He was responsible for bringing the railway into the town and also for building a pier. The line closed in 1964 and the track has been lifted.
