Railway Station, Pocklington, East Riding of Yorkshire
The railway station was built in 1847 for the York & North Midland Railway on the York to Beverley line. It was designed by G. T. Andrews. The station complex consists of a booking hall, covered platform and a 2 story station masters' house. After the railway arrived in the town a flax mill opened but did not last very long. The line closed in 1965 and the station was converted to a school gymnasium.
