Royal Garrison Church, Grand Parade, Portsmouth
This is a stained glass window that was added to the Royal Garrison Church in 1987. It shows the Eighth Army and Royal Artillery during the Second World War. The church itself was originally a medieval hospital, then a Tudor ammunition store and has been a church for the Forces since the 1580s. It has stood in Portsmouth for nearly 800 years. This site is now in the care of English Heritage (2011).
