Royal Marine Barracks, Durnford Street, Stonehouse, Plymouth
The Archway Block of the barracks contains the Guard house, officer's quarters and divisional offices and a school which is now a chapel. It was built in 1867-71 to a design by Colonel G Greene, Director of the Admiralty Works. Stonehouse is the oldest and most important group of barracks in England that is not part of a fortification.
