Sign post at Three Lamps, Bath Road, Totterdown, Bristol
This signpost stands at the junction of the Bath Road and the Wells Road. It dates from the early 19th century. It is made from cast-iron in the form of a Doric column and has 3 glass lamps. It has 2 finger posts with pointing hands and pierced lettering, indicating BATH and WELLS. It was restored around 1985. It is known locally as the Bishop of Bath and Wells. It has been described as '...one of the finest early 19th century signposts in England'.
