St John's Priory School, Banbury, Oxfordshire
This school building is said to incorporate the remains of a medieval hospital. The Hospital of St John the Baptist was founded in 1229 and served both lepers and the poor. It was dissolved in c1546. The only record of its buildings is a grant of timber in 1229 for the prior to build himself a house. A building on this site was used as a barn. It was converted into a house in 1834 and a school in 1851.
