St Mary's Abbey, Halesowen, West Midlands
The Abbot's Lodging at Halesowen Abbey viewed from the south. Halesowen Abbey is an abbey of Premonstratensian Canons founded in 1215 and a convent founded in 1218. The Abbot's lodging building has been variously described as an infirmary, abbot's lodging, or guest range. It is the only surviving roofed medieval building on the abbey site. The conclusions from analysis suggested that the building was originally an infirmary with later alterations to accommodate a range of monastic officials.
