The Armoury, Portland Castle, Dorset
A helmet and breastplate dating from the reign of Henry VIII on display in the Armoury. The castle was completed in 1540 to defend Weymouth Harbour against possible French and Spanish invasion. This site is now in the care of English Heritage (2010).
