The Gatehouse, Titchfield Abbey, Fareham, Hampshire

Titchfield Abbey was founded as a Premonstratensian Abbey in 1232. At the Dissolution of the Monasteries, it was converted into a mansion for the Earl of Southampton. The gatehouse, seen here, dates from the Tudor period. This site is now in the care of English Heritage (2010).
