The Iron Bridge, Ironbridge, Shropshire

The Iron Bridge over the River Severn at Ironbridge was the world's first bridge made of iron and stands near the start of the Industrial Revolution. Cast by Abraham Darby in 1778, it was made of prefabricated units which were erected on site. This site is now in the care of English Heritage (2010).
