Trafford Hall, Trafford Park, Trafford, Greater Manchester
Photographic copy of an engraving of 1830 showing Trafford Hall and Trafford Park from the south. The illustration was drawn by Mrs Pettiward. Trafford Hall belonged to the de Trafford family. It was built in 1762. Following the opening of the Manchester Ship canal and development of the surrounding area, Trafford park and hall was sold to E. T. Hooley. He registered Trafford Park Estates Limited in 1896. Despite surviving for a number of years the hall was eventually demolished in 1939.
