Truro Cathedral, High Cross, Truro, Cornwall

Truro Cathedral dates from 1880. It was designed by J L Pearson in an Early English style of architecture. It has spires of the Normandy type. The eastern parts were built before Pearson's death in 1897. The nave, central tower and western towers were carried out to the original design by his son F L Pearson between 1895 and 1910. The early 16th century south aisle of the former parish church of St Mary was kept and became the cathedral's St Mary's Aisle.
