Village hall, Woodgreen, Hampshire
This village hall was built 1930-1. It was donated by Vaughan Nash. Inside it has pictures showing scenes from the village as it was when the hall was built. They are painted on the walls as murals. They were painted by Robert Baker and Edward Payner, members of the Royal College of Arts, for the Carnegie Trust. Vaughan Nash was involved in schemes to revive village life. These included settling ex-servicemen on land and building village halls as community centres.
