Workers Housing, Heath Close, Hendon, Greater London
Waterlow Court was built in 1908-09. It was built for the Improved Industrial Dwellings Company, founded in the 1860s by Sydney Waterlow. It was built at the request of Henrietta Barnett, founder of the Hampstead Garden Suburb, as housing for young women workers. As well as the individual three to five room flats it also contained communal rooms for them to meet up in.
