Teaching ideas

Use the resources with your pupils to help them find out more about Stone Age tools. Two of them also have quiz elements to help your pupils test their knowledge. Having worked through the resources you could ask pupils to:

  • Look at these images of prehistoric ‘tool kits’ and make a list of the similarities and differences between each of the different kits.
  • Having looked at all the different tools think about what your modern ‘tool kit’ would include? Can you think of 5 items or ‘tools’ that you couldn’t get through the day without?
