Description

Dolcoath Mine began production in the 1720s, reaching a depth of over 300 feet by 1746. It became the largest mine in Cornwall, also producing arsenic, tungsten, lead, silver, bismuth, cobalt and uranium. The mine was finally abandoned in 1929.
