Oblique view of one end of the cast-iron footbridge over the River Kennal beside Perran Foundry. Built in the early to mid-nineteenth century, the walkway of the iron bridge was cast in sections, with the balustraded parapets cast in one section.

Description

The footbridge was almost certainly cast at the nearby Perran Foundry, which was founded in 1791 and in its heyday was the most important foundry in Cornwall.
